This is Ella hard at work creating her own “iPad”. It has buttons for Netflix, a camera, and more. If you request an as yet unthought of feature, Ella can quickly add a button for you.

This isn’t Ella’s first iPad, she has made several during recent months. Mommy and I have seen Ella and Paige play for thirty minutes or more watching imaginary movies or flipping through imaginary photos.

I can’t think of a better toy for an almost five year old. She’ll have and has had plenty of opportunities to play with and work on the real thing, but I’m glad she’s able to get lost in the creation of her own imaginary pixels.
