Chocolate Chip Bliss

Earlier this week I mentioned that I was doing some “hard core baking“. Today we’re enjoying the payoff after letting the dough settle for thirty-six hours. The result of such patience? A batch of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had.

Earlier this week I happened upon Kate Miss’s post about The Only Chocolate Chip Cookie I Will Ever Need to Know How to Make for the Rest of My Life. The recipe calls for cake and bread flours, butter, sea salt, Ghiardelli 60% Cacao chips and letting the dough sit for thirty-six hours so that the ingredients will soak in to one another. It sounded divine, so I bookmarked the post and started the process on Wednesday night. This morning at 10am, the dough was ready.

The results have been wonderful…

Many thanks to Kate Miss for sharing this recipe.

P.S. – If you think you’ve heard of this recipe before, one source may have been the famous NY Times “36 Hour Cookie Recipe“.
